Eau Claire (WQOW) -- Express catcher David Diaz-Fernandez has gone from his home in Miami, Florida, to Marshall University, and now to Eau Claire for the summer.
"My coaches at Marshall," says Diaz-Fernandez, "they told me about this summer league, that it would be a good idea, just play a lot of games throughout the summer, good experience, meet a bunch of kids, come to play for a good coaching staff, so I told them I'd be okay with that, I thought it was a great idea, so that's how I ended up here from Miami."
Diaz-Fernandez says the players on this year's Express team have blended together well.
"There's a bunch of guys that just have great personalities," Diaz-Fernandez says, "I feel like all of us get along, no one really has a grudge against anyone, so I think it's a good chemistry that we have with our team, and I feel like we're going to show it on the field."
