Police identify 8-year-old Oconomowoc drowning victim


OCONOMOWOC (WKOW) -- The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Oconomowoc police released the name of the 8-year-old boy who drowned in the Oconomowoc River.  The boy is Shane Needles of Nashotah.

Shane was visiting Riverside Park with a group.  A chaperone noticed he was missing Thursday, July 18th.

Shane was found in the river near 2:30 p.m. and was pulled out of the water.

First responders performed CPR.  Shane Needles was taken to the hospital where he died shortly afterwards.
