MADISON (WKOW) -- Now that Madison golfing legend Sherri Steinhauer is in semi-retirement, she has much more time to give back to the community where she learned to play the game of golf. On Saturday, the 8-time LPGA champ put on the inaugural "Sherri Steinhauer Career Day" at the Odana Hills Golf Course, teaching young girls from ages 6-18 about the game shes made a living out of.
Steinhauer shared with the girls how far in life the game of golf can take them, while also giving them instruction on the driving range. Steinhauer now plays on the Legends Tour, and hopes to continue this event on an annual basis.
