MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Many Brewers fans at Monday evening's game against the Padres did not seem to care that Ryan Braun lied about using performance-enhancing drugs.
27 News talked to dozens of people as they made their way into Miller Park to watch the Brewers play after Braun was suspended, and most fans still seem to have his back.
"I still like him. I still think he's a great guy," said fan Mike Sprangers, who was still sporting a Braun jersey.
Monday afternoon, Major League Baseball suspended Braun for 65 games -- the rest of the regular season.
"I really wish he could finish the season, but to be honest it's not going to really matter in the long run. And he'll just get back to it next season," fan Josh Martens said.
Other fans say they're disappointed that Braun used performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), but don't look down on him as an athlete.
"I think he's a heck of a player. Players with that much talent don't come along that often. He's got a lot of skill. I respect him," fan CJ Skelton said.
