UPDATE: Two dead after crash outside of Cambridge identified

TOWN OF CHRISTIANA (WKOW) -- The Dane County Medical Examiner's Officer has identified the two men killed in the crash. 

Officials say Joseph L. Kleiman, 20, of Schaumburg, IL and Mahatkumar S. Patel, 20, of Hanover Park, IL were killed in the crash. 

The crash is still under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff's Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.

TOWN OF CHRISTIANA (WKOW) -- Investigators say a driver ran a stop sign in an accident near Cambridge. The accident killed him and his passenger.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office says just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, emergency crews were called to a two vehicle crash on State Trunk Highway 73 at County Trunk Highway PQ in the Town of Christiana. A preliminary investigation shows the 20-year-old driver of a black Acura ran the stop sign, and struck a Ford F250.

The man driving the Acura and his passenger, also 20, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both men were from Illinois. The female driver of the truck, 63 and also from Illinois, was taken by Med Flight to UW Hospital. She has non-life threatening injuries.

This crash happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 73 and PCounty Highway PQ/Prairie Queen Road. The Dane County Sheriff's Department says a westbound car ran a stop sign and was hit by a southbound pickup truck.

Two men in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. Both are 20 years old. Their names have not been released.

The woman, 63, driving the truck was taken by MedFlight to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She has not been identified.
