Sports apparel stores hit by Braun aftermath

WEST ALLIS (WKOW) -- The suspension of Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun is a concern for retailers.

A sports apparel store owner in West Allis says interest in the Brewers was already waning and Braun's jersey was the only one worth stocking.

But now he says they'll be toxic.

"Even if somebody's a Braun fan, they're going to be under the radar. They'll wear a Brewers shirt and cheer if he hits a home run. But otherwise they won't want to sit there and be showing I'm supporting a cheater, type of thing," says store owner Gary Anders.

Anders says he's not going to order any Braun jerseys next season, because he doesn't expect anyone will buy them.
