Lake Hallie (WQOW)-  An arrest has been made in a summertime armed robbery in Lake Hallie.

Cory Benavides, from Eau Claire, was arrested Monday.

Back in July, a woman told police she woke up to see a gun pointed at her.  She says the man started walking out the door, still pointing a gun at her, and then ran.  Police say some money was stolen from the woman's purse and other items were taken from a car in the driveway.

Later that morning, police were called to a crash.  When they arrived at the scene, the van that crashed had been abandoned.   Several items that had been stolen in the armed robbery were found.

The owner, Benavides, reported the van missing later that day but DNA from the blood on the airbag identified him as the driver when it crashed.
