Two people hospitalized after head-on collision in Pierce County


Pierce Co. (Press Release) - On July 28, 2013, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department was notified of a two-vehicle accident with injuries and road blockage on 420th St., west of County Road A in the Township of Maiden Rock.

It was determined that a 2005 Dodge Neon operated by Robert Parris, 33 years old, of Maiden Rock, was traveling westbound on 420th Street when he crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic and struck a second vehicle head-on.  The second vehicle heading east on 420th Street, also a Dodge Neon, was being driven by Teha Anderson, 20 years old, from Red Wing. 

Parris was airlifted to Regions Hospital by North Memorial Air Care with undetermined injuries.  Anderson was transported to Red Wing Hospital by Maiden Rock Ambulance with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting on scene were Maiden Rock Ambulance, Lund Fire, Ellsworth Paramedic, and North Memorial Air.
