Judge extends abortion law block another week

MADISON (WKOW)  -- A federal judge has extended his order temporarily blocking enactment of a Wisconsin law that requires abortion providers to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals.

U.S. District Judge William Conley's order is now extended until August 8.

Conley says he is finishing up his ruling on the injunction and expects a ruling by the end of the week on issuing a preliminary injunction blocking the law until trial in November.
