SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Young Life, an inter-denominational ministry that has been active nationally for over 70 years, and in Sun Prairie since 2000 is working to raise money with an upcoming golf outing.

Are'Anne Arb dropped by Wake Up Wisconsin and shared the impact the program has made in the lives of her children, now adults.  Arb says the now 19 and 22-year-olds benefited greatly from networking with Young Life staff and volunteers.

Participants in Young Life come from a variety of backgrounds and area churches and work to build relationships with kids on their turf, Arb says.

She says they show an interest in their lives and providing events and activities where they can gather and have fun in a safe environment. Young Life is funded by donations from local individuals, churches, foundations and businesses, making the golf outing a critical fund-raiser.

Proceeds help defray camp, transportation, and other expenses.

The golf outing is next Monday, August 12 at "The Oaks" in Cottage Grove.  The event begins at 9 a.m.  For more information on participating visit Young Life's Sun Prairie chapter.
