Big rigs are coming to town

Trucks, big wheelers, rigs, 18 wheelers, it doesn't matter what you call them. They are coming to town. The Fourth Annual Big Rig Truck Show kicks off tomorrow.

More than 100 trucks are expected from all over the state. They will be showcasing some unique features - such as lights inside the fuel tank - and will be on display for judging.

"People say they're show trucks but what they really are trucks that work during the week, show on the weekends and go back to work on Monday. We have more than 12 acres of trucks from across the United States that you see on the road but you really don't look at them close, well here you can look at them nice and close," says Terry Biddle, the event's director.

The show starts tomorrow and is running until Sunday in the CVTC parking lot. If you're unable to make it to the show the trucks will make a tour through town - kind of like a big rig parade. The route will be Clairemont Avenue to Water Street and back around up State Street hill. You can pull up a lawn chair around 8:30 on Saturday night or around 2p.m. on Sunday.
