MADISON (WKOW) -- Amazing athletes will test their endurance in Madison next month for the Wisconsin IRONMAN and the event needs volunteers.

Volunteer Director Mandy Mommaerts says volunteers will work in shifts of several hours at a time during the IRONMAN, which starts a little before 7:00 a.m. Sunday September 8 and goes until midnight. They will need volunteers in the days leading up to the event, for the entire IRONMAN, and then again Monday with award ceremonies.

For more information about the event, head to this website. If you want to volunteer, call MandyMommaerts at ironmanvolunteers@visitmadison.com or sign up here.
