Madison (WQOW) -- Wisconsin football head coach Gary Andersen wants every senior to serve as a game captain this season.
It's a tradition he started at Utah State several years ago. Andersen said he will make sure each senior gets a chance to wear the "C" on his jersey.
"It doesn't matter if you've been the program for one year or you've been in for five years, whether you're a walk-on or a starter -- it doesn't matter," says Andersen. "Every senior will walk out four-strong, maybe five-strong to get through all of seniors this year, and have an opportunity to be a captain. Our true captains are the senior class along with the leadership committee and those guys have been in place since we came back."
