Parade celebrates Harley-Davidson's 110th anniversary

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Thousands of bikers came together in Milwaukee Saturday to continue the city's weekend-long celebration of Harley-Davidson's success.

Bikers prepared for the 110th anniversary parade at Miller Park early Saturday morning. One of the first motorcycles to arrive was the iconic flag bike.

Ray Jordan, from Florida, says it took him 12 hours to build his patriotic tribute.

"This is our salute that's why we do it," Jordan says. "Every time I do it I create something different, I add to it.  It's a labor of love.  I love it."

6,000 riders participated in this year's parade, each traveling a route of about five miles.

The anniversary celebrations started on Thursday and continue through Labor Day.
