K9 dogs look for suspects after overnight robbery

MADISON (WKOW) -- A K-9 unit was called in to search for two suspects early Monday morning after they robbed a man and woman at gunpoint.

Authorities say the victims were returning home on the 3000 block of Jason Place when one suspect confronted the woman in the garage. The suspect showed her a gun and grabbed her purse.

According to the Madison Police Department, the other suspect punched the other male victim multiple times. The K-9 track indicated that the suspects likely left the area in a car. Witnesses saw a green SUV leaving the area at a fast speed.

Police say they're looking for two black, male suspects. They're between 25 and 30 years old and are wearing dark clothing. The incident happened about 12:30 a.m. on Monday.
