School accountability, jobs are a top priority for those returning to Madison

Eau Claire (WQOW) - We spoke with Rep. Dana Wachs (D) 91st Assembly District Monday at a Labor Day Picnic in Eau Claire. The event celebrated the history of labor unions in our country. Wachs and Sen. Kathleen Vinehout (D) 31st Senate District spoke at the event. We asked them about what they plan to focus on the rest of the year in Madison, once lawmakers return to work later this month.

"Taking up school accountability, certainly that accountability of all these private schools that are now getting private money is a concern of many of my constituents," Vinehout said.

"I will be myself in the next couple of weeks introducing a bill which will present incentives for growth within the software industry. That's a bill that we had economists help us directly with it, I think that's a bill that will enhance that industry," said Wachs.
