TOWNSHIP OF BARABOO (WKOW) -- Two people are hurt when a Jeep hits a motorcycle in Sauk County.

The sheriff's office says around 9:00 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to a two vehicle crash on Steinke Road in the Township of Baraboo. Detectives say a motorcycle was going east on Gall Road and had stopped at the intersection with Old Lake Road. A Jeep following behind did not stop, and hit the back of the motorcycle. That pushed the bike into the intersection, causing both the driver and passenger to be thrown off the motorcycle. Detectives say the driver of the Jeep continued through the intersection, leaving the road and striking a retaining wall.

The driver and passenger of the motorcycle were treated at the scene by Baraboo EMS, then transported for UW Hospital for injuries. Their names have not been released.

The driver of the Jeep, Kevin Vaness, 22, of Baraboo, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, Causing Injury.

The incident is still under investigation.
