Hazmat team called for suspicious package at Milwaukee airport


MILWAUKEE (WKOW) – A hazmat unit spent the night at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee after being called to check on a suspicious package late Tuesday night.

The package was found around 10:30 p.m. near the airport post office.

The Milwaukee Fire Department says no one has been injured.

The incident has not affected airport operations.  According to our affiliate, WISN-TV, the scene was clear Wednesday morning and the airport flight status page showed flights were departing normally.
