Wisconsin guard members search for baby's body

RACINE (WKOW) -- A group of Wisconsin National Guard members have joined in the hunt for the body of a missing 5-month-old baby.

Hundreds of law enforcement officers and volunteers have looked for the boy since he went missing two weeks ago. Authorities have narrowed their search to a landfill in northern Illinois.

National Guardsman Jamie Stroh, of Racine, summoned his colleagues to help in the search. He says the stench of the landfill is what hits you first, then thoughts turn to the possibility that a child is buried in the garbage.

Stroh says they will continue to help in the search in order to give the baby a "better resting place."

The boyfriend of the baby's mother, Joshua Summeries, is charged with killing the child.
