Eau Claire's snowplow policy likely to stick

Eau Claire (WQOW) - No major changes are being recommended for Eau Claire's snowplow policy.

Recently, the city's Fiscal Policy Advisory Committee has been reviewing the three-inch plow rule.  Years ago, the city would plow after a two-inch snowfall, but made the switch to save money.  Some residents didn't like it.

The committee is now preparing a report for the city council.  It will include information about a new material that could be used on the streets to make plowing more effective.  There will also be recommendations to open the lines of communication more between the city and the public when it snows, but as of now, there are no plans to change the three-inch rule.
