New Eau Claire County treasurer to be sworn in Friday


Eau Claire (Press Release) - Due to the resignation/retirement of long time Eau Claire County Treasurer Larry Lokken, the Eau Claire County Board recruited and appointed Glenda Lyons to fill the unexpired term of the County Treasurer position through January 2017 as the new County Treasurer.

Lyons has a vast background working in a variety of accounting positions. Most recently Glenda has spent the last 8 years working as the Clerk/Treasurer for the Town of Seymour performing duties such as tax collection, accounts payable/receivable and other duties assigned to the municipal clerk position.

Glenda is a graduate of Chippewa Falls Senior High School and received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Chippewa Valley Technical College. She has also completed the Treasurers Institute at UW Green Bay.

Lyons will be officially sworn in as the new Eau Claire County Treasurer on Friday, September 6. Judge Jon Theisen will administer the oath of office at 1:30 pm in Circuit Court Branch IV of the Eau Claire County Courthouse.

Lyons duties will officially begin her duties on Monday, September 9, 2013.
