Janesville man tells police how he used child to deliver drugs

MADISON (WKOW) -- Channel 27 reported on Wednesday that a Janesville couple faced multiple drug charges, with the husband accused of using a child to deliver the drugs

Jamie Jacobson, 32, and his wife, Jennifer Jacobson, 27, were arrested Tuesday and appeared in court Thursday via video conference from the Rock County Jail.

Court records show Jamie Jacobson told police that a child who lived at his home completed sales on his behalf when he wasn't there. He said that on two occasions, he had the child tell heroin users who came to the home to leave money in a specific place and then take a DVD case containing heroin.

Jacobson said the child didn't know the people were picking up heroin although the child knew Jacobson used the drug. Jacobson said the child did not touch any heroin.

Jamie Jacobson told police he uses heroin but is not a dealer, court records said. He said he and his friends pooled money to buy drugs, and then he divided it up. He is being held on a $7,000 bond.

Jennifer Jacobson, who has been charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place, delivery of Xanax and other drug crimes, has been released on a signature bond.

Both were ordered to have no contact with the child.
