YWCA Rock County Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to raise awareness about violence


MADISON (WKOW) -- YWCA Rock County's Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an advocacy event to raise awareness of sexual violence issues in our community.

It's a powerful way to get men and boys involved in being part of the solution. The event will feature men wearing high-heeled shoes and walking a mile in them.

The event will be on Friday, September 27 at the Pontiac Convention Center. Registration and shoe fittings start at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Walk A Mile After Party and Dinner Reception will be at the Pontiac Convention Center. Guests will enjoy silent and live auctions, dinner, cash bar and team contests and awards.

Tickets are $30 dollars each. Walkers who raise $50 dollars in pledges get in free. Walkers who raise $250 dollars receive two tickets. Register online for more incentives.
