Chippewa Falls man crashes plane into Duncan Creek


Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - Deputies say a Chippewa Falls pilot suffered back injuries after his plane crashed into a creek.

It happened Sunday afternoon in Tilden.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department says John Davis told them he had just become airborne when his plane had engine problems.

The plane hit some trees and landed in Duncan Creek. Davis suffered back injuries.

The DNR was notified that fuel was leaking from the plane into the creek. The FAA was also notified about the crash.
