Two WI carnival workers being held on murder charges

MANITOWOC (WKOW) -- Two brothers from Wisconsin are being held in DeWitt County, Illinois on charges of robbing and killing a man.

The body of Blayne Benefield was discovered Saturday, September 7,  in downtown Farmer City.  DeWitt County Coroner Randy Rice says an autopsy indicates Benefield was strangled and stabbed.

James Jacquart (25), of Manitowoc, and his brother Alexander (22), of Valders, were both working at the Heritage Days festival the day the body was discovered.

The two are being held in DeWitt County on charges of armed robbery and first degree murder.  Bail is set at $1-million each.
