Carnival Cruise Lines hoping to win back customers through guarantee


Eau Claire (WQOW) - Carnival Cruise Lines is hoping to win back customers with what it's calling a "great vacation guarantee."

Under the new policy, if a passenger is dissatisfied with their cruise, Carnival is offering a 110 percent refund, free transportation home and a $100 onboard credit.

Customers must notify Carnival of their dissatisfaction within 24 hours of boarding a ship.

The new policy comes after several recent problems on Carnival ships, including: mechanical problems on one ship and  an engine room fire on another that stranded thousands of passengers at sea in February.
