Madison man accused of attempted homicide in girlfriend's stabbing

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department reports a woman was stabbed early Sunday morning on the 3700 block of Brigham Avenue, off Stoughton Road.

Police say when officers arrived, they found a white female in her early thirties with multiple stab wounds.  She was taken to a hospital and went into surgery.  She is currently in stable condition.

Officers arrested the woman's boyfriend, Eric Prunn, 40.  Prunn is being held at the Dane County Jail for attempted first degree intentional homicide.

The incident is still under investigation.
