Madison (WQOW) -- The Badgers have a number of very good options at running back: James White, Melvin Gordon, and Corey Clement.
But many Wisconsin fans, including former Badger and Heisman Trophy Award winner Ron Dayne, think Gordon needs more touches.
Gordon is the second leading rusher in the country despite averaging less than 13 carries per game. He's averaging just under 13 yards per carry, but he's had fewer touches than senior James White.
According to Gordon, however, there's no controversy.
"You know, James can make plays," says Gordon, "Abby [Jared Abbrederis] can make plays, we all can, so I mean, I don't get greedy with the carries, whatever, just when they call me and my opportunity comes you've got to make the best of it."
"You gotta feed your horse," says Dayne, "and if he's eating like that why not keep feeding him and let him come out when he's tired, rather than taking him out, all right, you've run three plays and you've got to come out."
