Celebrate Eau Claire set for this Saturday

Time Capsule Dedication Ceremony at 2 p.m.

RCU Celebrate Eau Claire Parade at 3 p.m.

Join us we Celebrate Eau Claire!  Here are some of the highlights!

The RCU Celebrate Eau Claire Parade will be at 3 p.m.!  It will go from Wilson Park to the Post Office on South Barstow Street.  The Blugold Marching Band will perform after the parade at about 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot across from the Children's Museum.

They'll give a fun, ½ hour show, so grab a seat!

There will be a lot of local performers entertaining the crowd throughout the day in two areas! 

South Barstow Street-Near the Federal Building

1:00-1:30pm  EC Shimmy

1:30-2:00  Karate American

2:00-2:30pm La Bella Trio

4:30-5:00pm  The Backwards Thinkers Society 

Intersection of Main Street and South Barstow St. 

1:00-1:30pm  Eau Claire Irish Dance

1:30-2:00pm  Dragonfly Dance

2:00-2:30pm  AKF Martial Arts

4:00-4:30pm  Kal-El the Male Belly Dancer

The Live Bard will also perform.  Peter Thomas recites poetry and other narrative verse.  Watch him anytime from 1-5pm at Gray Street and S. Barstow St.

You won't leave hungry!  There will be several food vendors at which you can grab a bite to eat!

There will be things like:

  • cheese curd and pizza egg rolls
  • gyros
  • coconut shrimp on a stick 
  • fry bread tacos
  • frozen yogurt 
  • kettle popcorn
  • wraps 
  • gourmet salads 
  • kabobs
  • philly steak sausage!

 

The band In Kahootz will be playing from 1-3pm in the parking lot across from the Children's Museum!

The five-member band will play songs from the 50's to today's hits: classic rock to country; you'll also hear some Jimmy Buffet, Billy Joel, Elton John, and some rock 'n roll favorites including Elvis and The Temptations!

So get ready to tap your feet, dance, and sing along!

There will also be pony rides, a petting zoo, and inflatables for the kids!  We'll also be having a Time Capsule Dedication Ceremony at 2pm at the corner of S. Barstow Street and E. Grand Avenue!
