Chicago Police: No arrests in shooting that injures 13

CHICAGO (WKOW) – Thirteen people are injured, including a 3-year-old boy, after being shot at a park on Chicago's southwest side.

Officer Amina Greer says the shooting happened shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday.  Chicago Fire Department Officials say the child was in critical condition, along with two other victims.  Authorities say the other victims were reported in serious to fair condition.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Julian Harris says dreadlocked men fired at him from a gray sedan before turning toward Cornell Square Park and firing at people in the area.  Harris says his 3-year-old nephew was wounded in the cheek.

Semecha Nunn, the 3-year-old's grandmother, says he's "doing better" and is "very strong" after having plastic surgery.

Chicago police say they are still searching for whoever opened fire Thursday night, but they do believe it is gang related.
