Badgers Downplay OSU Game Hype

Badgers head coach Gary Andersen Badgers head coach Gary Andersen

Madison (WQOW) -- Wisconsin's biggest game of the regular season could come on Saturday when the Badgers travel to Ohio State.

The Buckeyes enter the game with the nation's best winning-streak, taking 16 straight games. In recent memory, the Wisconsin vs. Ohio State games have gone right down to the wire. The winner this year will get a big leg up in the Leaders Division race, but coach Gary Andersen doesn't want his team to get caught up in the hype.

"This game -- it'll just be one game in the conference game at the end," says Andersen. "They can't just look at one game and say this is the championship when they're all going to be contested."

Senior linebacker Chris Borland adds: "I think guys are very excited. They're a big-time team, one of the top teams in the nation, but it doesn't really change anything. We prepare as hard as we can each week. There's really nothing more you can do. But yeah, guys will be excited for it."

Wisconsin and Ohio State play Saturday at 7:00 p.m. You can watch the game on WQOW-18, with a pregame show airing at 6:30 p.m.
