Janesville man arrested for 5th OWI offense


JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Janesville police officers arrest a 58-year-old Janesville man for his 5th OWI offense.

According to the Janesville Police Department, a vehicle with expired plates was deviating from the lane of traffic on West Milwaukee Street and South Academy Street in Janesville. The officer stopped the driver and noticed an odor on his breath.

The driver, 58-year-old Arthur Thomas, failed a field sobriety test. He later admitted to drinking before operating his vehicle. Thomas had a revoked driving status in Wisconsin.

He's being held at the Rock County Jail on felony drunk driving charges.
