September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Posted:

MADSION (WKOW) -- September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we're taking the opportunity to honor the more than 13,500 brave children who are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. each year.

Brinley Hicks, a 5-year-old Sauk City girl, is one child who fought kidney cancer, and won. Just last Friday she found out she remains in remission. This marks 15 months, and counting, as cancer free.

Brinley and her mom, Heidi, joined us on 27 News at 5 on Friday.
