Woman sexually assaulted in Madison, suspect flees

MADISON (WKOW) -- Police are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman on Madison's west side Thursday.

They describe the suspect as a 25-year-old white man, 6'4" and about 250 lbs.

Town of Madison police say he met the woman downtown as she was searching for an apartment.

They say he lured her to the 2400 block of Arboretum Drive just before 1 p.m. where he was staying with relatives.

He told her there was a room she could rent in the house.

When she got inside, police say he assaulted her multiple times.

The victim escaped, called police and was taken to the hospital.

She was treated and released.

Police believe the suspect fled the state.
