West Allis woman sentenced for children's deaths

WEST ALLIS (WKOW) -- A West Allis woman who left her children locked in a bedroom was sentenced to 18 years in prison Friday for their deaths in a house fire.

25-old Angelica Belen was also sentenced to 18 years probation.

She pleaded guilty in July to felony child neglect in the April 11-th deaths of her five-year-old daughter and four-year-old twin sons.

The three children died when the home caught fire.

Belen had left them home alone, locked in a bedroom for hours before they died
