Convicted killer denied conditional release in Eau Claire County

Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A convicted killer, who wants out of a mental hospital, is going nowhere.

Alvin Taylor petitioned the court for a conditional release, but on Tuesday, an Eau Claire County judge ordered him to remain where he is.  Taylor was petitioning to get out of Mendota, the state mental health institute.  In the late 1980's, he admitted killing four people.  Three victims were from Menomonie and Eau Claire.  Taylor told police he was a 'soldier of God' and committed the murders after receiving messages on radio and TV.
