UPDATE: Man missing from group home located near Wausau

Chippewa County (WQOW)- A man missing from a group home in Chippewa County has been found.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office says Terry Rolf walked away from the group home north of Stanley around noon Monday.

Late Tuesday morning deputies in Marathon County found Rolf hitchhiking along Hwy 29 near Rib Mountain by Wausau

It's believed Rolf was trying to get to his daughter's home near Green Bay. Law enforcement says Rolf was in good shape when he was located.

Chippewa County (WQOW)- In Chippewa County a search is underway for a man who is believed to have wandered away from a group home north of Stanley. 

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department is attempting to locate Terry L. Rolf, age 64. Law enforcement officers say Mr. Rolf left the group home on foot around noon on Monday and he may be trying to travel to his daughter's home in Green Bay. 

He is described as nearly 6'0 tall and 200 pounds with grey hair, a white beard and tattoos on his forearms. He was last seen wearing a black coat, black pants, green camouflage gloves and a black hat. 

The sheriff's department says Mr. Rolf is not believed to be a threat to the public or himself, though he does suffer from medical issues and it is important that he be found as soon as possible.

Press Release- Chippewa County Sheriff's Department is attempting to locate Terry L Rolf age 64. Mr. Rolf left a group home he is a resident at located near Otter Lake north of Stanley on foot. He may be attempting to reach his daughters residence which is near Green Bay.  Mr. Rolf is not believed to be a threat to Public or himself. Mr. Rolf does suffer from medical issues and it is important if you have seen him or had contact with him that you contact the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department.
