Body of missing man recovered from lake


Price County (PRESS RELEASE): Price County Sheriff Brian S. Schmidt announces at approximately 11:30 a.m. the body of a missing fisherman was recovered from Letourneau Lake, in the Township of Flambeau.  On October 9, 2013, at 6:46 p.m., the Price County Sheriff's Department had received a call reporting a man had not returned from a fishing trip.  A search for the missing man was immediately begun.

Responding agencies included the Price County Sheriff's Department, the Park Falls, Fifield and Pike Lake Fire Departments, the Park Falls Ambulance Service, the Oneida County Dive Team, the Tri-County Dive Team, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the Price County Coroner's Office and the Salvation Army.

The name of the victim is being held at this time pending notification of the family.  More information will be released as it becomes known.
