MADISON (WKOW) -- Veronia junior Jessica Reinecke is well on her way to earn her second straight division one WIAA state golf tournament title. Reinecke shot a 3-under 69 on day one of the two day tournament, tying her career best round. Behind Reinecke is Middleton's Loren Skibba, who shot an even 70, and in a tie for third at 2-over is Stoughton's Becky Klongland. Arrowhead leads the team competition in division one at 26-over, nine shots ahead of Middleton.
In division two the Madison Edgewood team holds a 20 shot lead over second place Fox Valley Lutheran at 44-over. The Crusaders are aiming for their third straight state title; Edgewood has won the team championship 11 of the last 12 years. Edgewood's Carolina Lake leads the individual competition at 1-over, two shots ahead of her teammate Tess Hackworthy.
