Posted:

RACINE (WKOW) -- A Racine County cold case is getting new attention after the body of a young woman, found dead in a cornfield more than 10 years ago was exhumed.

Officials hope new technology will help them figure out what happened to "Jane Doe." She was found in July of 1999, beat up and believed to be tortured.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner says they're trying to learn more about the time leading up to the woman's death. Authorities say new information could lead investigators to those responsible.
