MPD will ask for man to be banned from Madison parks


MADISON (WKOW) -- An altercation at Burr Jones Park on E. Washington Avenue Wednesday afternoon, leads to the arrest of a Madison man.

Two men were among a group of people hanging out at the park.  The victims stated to police he demanded an apology be made from the suspect after he disrespected a woman in their company. 

This issue soon turned into a fistfight between the two 47-year-old men.  However, before it ended, the suspect, Tyrone Flood, armed himself with a rock and struck the victim in the head.

Flood was arrested for battery.  The victim did not sustain serious injuries.  Madison police will be asking, as a condition of bail, the suspect be banned from Madison parks.
