Sauk Prairie looks to pack 200,000 meals to fight hunger

SAUK PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Next week, a group of dedicated volunteers from the Sauk Prairie area hope to pack up hundreds of thousands of meals for children in need throughout the world.

The effort is part of the global Feed My Starving Children Program.

Jackie Bascom and John Ramthrun joined Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the effort. They've set a goal of packing 200,000 meals, specially formulated for starving children.

Volunteers are still needed for the October 24-October 26th packing event at Grand Avenue Elementary in Prairie Du Sac.  FMSC is a Christian non-profit that ships meals to 70 different countries.
