Wisconsin Picks Up First Road Win

Champaign, IL (WQOW) -- The Wisconsin football team dismantled Illinois 56-32 on Saturday, earning the Badgers their first road win of the season.

For their efforts, Wisconsin moved up to #22 in the latest AP poll. Coach Gary Andersen said it was important for his team to play well away from the friendly confines of Camp Randall Stadium.

"If you're going to have any opportunity to be a great team, you have to win on the road and that's really what I talked to them about," says Andersen. "It's important for them to find a way to get a win on the road. And we play some pretty good teams on the road. I believe we're a good team also. We were able to come in and get a win which was really important."

The Badgers take this Saturday off before facing Iowa in two weeks.
