Haircuts to raise money in the fight against cancer

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Tuesday across the country, many salons take a stand against cancer.

It's called the "Caring is Sexy Cut-A-Thon."  Haircuts will raise money for the Look Good Feel Better organization.  "Look Good Feel Better is a program that is offered to cancer patients going through chemotherapy and radiation.  It's a program to give the patients support, it's kind of a support group and making them look good and feel better at the same time," said CVTC Cosmetology Instructor Emily Dittner.

Last year, the cut-a-thon raised more than $115,000.  Shear Inspiration and Entourage Salon will participate.  Shear Inspiration is located in the CVTC Business Education Center on Clairemont.  It's open for 10 hours Tuesday.  Entourage Salon on Fairfax Avenue in Altoona is open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
