Madison men's beards gain national attention while they help local charity

MADISON (WKOW) -- Some Madison men who recently formed a Beard Wearer's Union are doing more than just showing off their scruff.

The Madison Beard Wearer's Union Local 608 hosts competitions and events to help raise money for Second Harvest Food Bank. Self-proclaimed President Ryan Lammey and several of his bearded buds were on Wake Up Wisconsin Tuesday to talk about their union.

One of those men is Chris Kriskovic, who recently won first place at a national competition in New Orleans. His spikey hairdo (or beard-do) got a lot of people talking when he and the crew came back to Madison. Many of the men in the union have won competitions all across the country.
