Firefighters in Milwaukee start petition to get jobs back

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Two firefighters terminated amid a vandalism scandal have launched a petition in hopes of returning to work.

Nathan Fager and Joey Siegert were fired last month after Engine 32 was vandalized when some firefighters learned they would be transferred to different units. Since the two were on probation, they have no right to appeal their termination.

According to our Milwaukee affiliate, WISN-TV, hundreds of people have already signed the online version of the petition. The fire chief is not commenting on whether the petition will make a difference.
