MADISON, WI (WKOW) -- The Badgers men's hockey team will use their bye week to regroup after two crushing losses in Boston this past weekend.
The Badgers were outscored 16-5 over two games against Boston College and Boston University.
The losses dropped UW from second to eleventh in the polls.
"I'm not too worried about it," said Nic Kerdiles. "I know what team we have here. Last year we weren't even ranked in the top 16 going into the playoffs, and we made our way to the tournament. So, polls are polls. We're focused on getting the team better and getting ready for the next opponent."
The team insists the slide has not affected their confidence.
"I'm glad that happened early in the year," said head coach Mike Eaves. "We played two good teams, let's not forget that fact. And we played Saturday night good enough to win; we just didn't get it done. So, honestly, we come back, we go back to work, we work on our details, and we'll be a better team at our next game."
Their next game is at home Friday, November 1 against Lake Superior State.
