Winners of 2013-2014 Sculpture Tour Eau Claire announced


Eau Claire (Press Release) - Sculpture Tour Eau Claire is excited to announce the winners of its 2013-2014 tour. The People's Choice winner was selected by a popular vote by the public.

The People's Choice Award was given to Mother's Undivided Love by Ben Hammond. Mother's Undivided Love will be purchased by Sculpture Tour Eau Claire and donated to the City of Eau Claire Parks to become part of their permanent sculpture collection. Past award winners include The Blind Spot by Dan Massopust located in Owen Park and High 5in Phoenix Park by Louise Peterson.
Indomitable Spirit by Jerry McKellar was presented with the Best of Show and will be awarded a $1,000 prize.
Best of Bronze was awarded to Zodiac Totem by Pokey Park and includes a $500 prize.
Honorable Mention in the Bronze category was Seated Couple by Rick Haugen.
To Be Held II by Bruce Niemi was the winner in the Best of Other Materials category and will be awarded a $500 prize.
Honorable Mention in this category was given to Songs of Flying Dutchman by Kyle Fokken.
Sculpture Tour Eau Claire is a non- profit organization with the goal of enhancing the quality of life in Eau Claire, Wisconsin by using the arts to promote tourism, economic development, health, and education. Since its founding in 2010, Sculpture Tour Eau Claire has transformed public spaces throughout the city and has served as a creative catalyst for community building.
