UPDATE: Armed robbery arrest made, man linked possibly to numerous robberies


UPDATE (WKOW) --- Madison Police say Kendredge Dillard was arrested in Illinois on the charge of armed robbery early Thursday morning.

Madison Police say they are working on 25 to 30 robberies the suspect could be connected to.

A photo of Dillard is asked to not be used so it will not hurt the investigation.

Police believe that the investigation could lead to finding additional suspects, but right now there is not anyone they are currently searching for.



MADISON (WKOW) --- Madison Police Department is planning to hold a press conference at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon regarding recent armed robbery activity.

On Wednesday an armed robbery was reported to take place around 2:30 p.m. on the 500 block of West Mifflin Street.

The victim said a man with a gun robbed him of his electronics.

Madison Police searched the area, but did not find him.

He was reported to be a black, male, 5'7", thin, and wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.

Police say the press conference today will discuss this recent incident and if it is related to prior cases in the city of Madison.
