MADISON (WKOW) -- College students at UW-Madison are making up to $1,000 a month with a new on-campus job opportunity.

It's a national company that debuted its brand ambassador program this semester. It's called Quad and it's designed specifically for college students.

Quad is a new platform for students to get together, communicate and plan events via group chat. It's a group texting application on your phone. The program is similar to 'GroupMe' but designed only for college students. The application allows up to 200 students to communicate in a chat setting.

Student will discuss anything from college courses and assignments to upcoming fraternity and sorority events. Quad, based out of San Francisco, has recruited ambassadors around the country to spread the word about the program. The students who participate will receive a financial incentive.

"We started promoting it around trying to get other students on it and using it as frequently as we do," said Colby Boman, a UW-Madison Quad Ambassador.

The more people the students recruit to the program, the more money they earn.

Quad has student ambassadors at over 100 schools across the United States. The job is described as a marketing and sales opportunity. There is an application process.
